Clarke family night out!

April 8, 2012

So the youngest has already been booked for her actual birhtday, so we had the family celebrations on Friday, a week early. Unfortunately one of the hardcore crew was away at another event, but the rest of us put on the glad rags and cabbed up to Asia de Cuba. There had been a huge kerfuff about where to go, having to renegotiate the very posh booking Papa had kindly made, to go somewhere designed for sharing food and  able to cope with the invasion that is our family.  Mental cocktails and champagne  in the Light Bar first, then the wonderful sharing menu between the eight of us. Birthday girl’s bf being initiated in to the loud and lairy Clarke table manners, but coped admirably. White chocolate martinis seemed a good idea, but two thirds of the way down the glass I feared it may make a reappearance in the cab. Luckily it didn’t. We got home and stormed the kitchen. Music on.  Jaegerbombs agogo. Two each then moved on to spirits whilst recreating the legend of dance that is the youngest’s bf. Reluctantly dragged away to leave the youngsters to it
